Danske Bank Finland can trace its origins back to 1887. It was formerly called Sampo Bank but changed its name when the Danish banking corporation Danske Bank bought it in 2007. It remains one of the largest banks in Finland with 1.1 million personal customers and about 100,000 business and institutional clients. These customers are serviced through 56 branches located across the country. It offers banking services to individuals, businesses, corporations, and institutions. The products it offers include short and long term interest funds, combined funds, equity funds, daily banking facilities, and loans. For high net worth clients private banking facilities are available.
